Needing HELP

Alright I have been through tons of threads and Nothing is helping me at all!!
I have this image that was built in pieces and i need to get each of those pieces and use each one as a link in Expression Blend. The thing is everytime I try to use the pieces they have a white background. I cant Use GIF's and bitmaps aren't doing the trick I just need to know if it would be easier to just redraw them in Expression or if I should try to use the existing images.
Help on this would be very much appreciated.

I am assuming you have this drawing in an Xara product?

Is this for a WMP Desktop Application, perhaps a Silverlight App? Easiest means? Why not export the file as a PDF and import the PDF into Expression Draw. From there, create your slices (or drawing parts) and export as one of the XAML options?

I am not quite sure why you are asking this question in a Xara graphics forum. Do you want to do this project in Xara or Microsoft?

I'm old and not so quick on the uptake. Help me here.
