New to web designer six

Ok so I have had web designer six for quite some time and have been playing around with it now I have decided I want to actually use it I am stuck...I drop and drag the photos into the gallery as shown in the help menu, however the thumbnail only shows part of the photo and when I preview the gallery and click on the photos, only part of the photo enlarges. What am I doing wrong please...

When you drag and drop a photo onto a thumbnail image, WD resizes the photo to the height or width of the thumbnail unless it scales perfectly.

The cropping of the thumbnail determines the cropping of the pop up image.

Select the thumbnail image with the Fill Tool and you will see an L shape with two arrows and tiny squares at the end of the arrows. Click one of these squares then you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to make the image larger or smaller.
