Dramatic Merv. The thumbs are very well drawn, but the bars do not feel round. The highlights on the bars should be duller because the bars would not be shiny. They would either have a lot of patina, and/or would have layer upon layer of crackled paint.

    Hi Merv.

    Good job.
Gary (the Xpert) has already spotted the bars. They look triangular to me.
Also (as look at the drawing) the hand on the left is throwing a shadow, but the one on the right is not?!

The hands are very good. I like them.

    I like it alot Merv.
I agree with Gary and Rik about the shadow and bars though.
In my opinion if you remeved the shadow on the bar, toned down the shine on all bars , and, generally grunge the bars, leaving the hands untouched the drama would increase and make a much more powerful statement. Try it and I think you'll be surprised what happens.

Thank you Gary, Rik, Gray and Larry for your great suggestions. I'll give it a shot. I'm working on a C-47 (DC-3) now for a flight sim, when I'm done with that I'll re-touch the bars, your suggestions sound great.

Thank you Madalynne for your kind comments, haven't seen you around in awhile. I did some rework on the bars etc, I think it does look better. Thanks all for the great advice.
