    Just an addendum. Until this thread, I would have never thought of making a Photo document. Even if I was making backgrounds, I would likely always use a normal document, setting it up for the pixel size as explained in the previous posts, add elements as needed and export it.

    So, have you tried setting up a normal XDP document (not using Blank photo)? Do you get different results?

    It the object has a border and the object is set at the 0,0 origin, half of the border thickness will be outside the origin, and will affect final sizing. This could cause white lines when exported.
