    Question hosting on Linux server

I asked my web host if there were any issues using Web Designer 7 Premium on their servers. They said I should find out the following before purchasing, their response follows:

"I believe the program creates HTML and
CSS files but I can't say for sure. As long as the program does not
create Windows-specific technology files such as ASP, ASP.NET, or VB it
    shouldn't be a problem."

"...ask what kind of files it creates and whether the
user-created site can be hosted on a Linux server."

    Info appreciated
    Thanks

You shouldn't have any problems. I would imagine that your host also provides php, which you may need in some of the widgets, which is server side, but, html, css, javascript are all done in your browser, the server just sends the files and your browser will display it. php will execute on the server and send the results to your browser in the form of html/css/javascript which your browser will display.

If you are using a linux server It shouldn't encounter any problems as it's flexible and can be configured in different ways like running any web applications. Go through linux hosting reviews and check the different linux server features

Use the free trial - you won't have a problem using linux. Many people here, myself included use linux. Fortunately, Xara isn't like some Microsoft products that insisted on a windows server.
