    Default HELP....

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I keep getting this error message when trying to load the widgets in WD7 premium.

    1. I have re installed, still get it.
    2. I have run the program as an administrator.

I did upgrade Win 7 to service pack 1, this may have been the problem, as it has started since around then but I cannot be preciseClick image for larger version.

Your RTF filter may not have been registered on your system.

Open an administrator command prompt and type -- CD\ then press enter

    For 32bit systems type -- regsrv32 C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Web Designer 7 Premium\Filters\RTFfilter.dll and press enter
    For 64bit systems type -- regsrv32 C:\Program Files (x86)\Xara\Xara Web Designer 7 Premium\Filters\RTFfilter.dll and press enter

Thanks for getting back to me with the advice. I cannot seem to address the RTFfilter.dll in all cases it says that regsrv32 and the 64bit version is not a recognised as command, operable program or batch file?

    Any further help greatly received.

    Ged

I have opened up a command prompt and typed in your instruction as well as going into the actual directory itself to no effect.

Have you tried running the program using Admistrator rights?

Right click the Program's icon and select run as Administrator. This will allow all parts of the program requiring registration to perform the updates needed

But did he do so by logging in with an Administrator account or by using the Right Click menu?

Logging in with an Administrator account does not bypass the UAC's blocking of how a program can access the registry. Using the Right Click menu allows full access to the registry and is required even when logged in as an Administrator.

Hi thanks to everyone for trying to help but none of it works. I have logged in by right clicking on the program and still no further forward. I can't believe I am the only one to have had this trouble. Just to update...

    1. It was working, now it is not.

    2. I right click as admin...still same issue.

    3. The problem is it does not let me use some of the Premium widgets which is a total nightmare.

If anyone has any other ideas other than what I have already done like reinstalling etc then please fire away.

    Thanks

    Ged
