Default Possible to deactivate a product?

We sometimes run into a situation where we have used all the activations of a product.

Is there some provision for a user deactivating a product on one machine so that it can be installed elsewhere?

Or say for example; I just updated to Designer pro 7. I now have both Designer pro 7 and Designer pro 6 on the same machine.

How can I deactivate designer pro 6 and then be able to install it on a different machine?

I was hoping for a response as I have older versions of the SW and they could be sent to a good home.

I think I'm right in saying we get 3 activations then we can contact Xara and explain to them.

Xara Sales or Support would be the people that can provide an answer to your question. Members of the forums are mostly users of the products.

If you upgraded, rather than purchased a completely new XDP7 at the full retail price, as far as I understand you only have the license for 7 with the ability to use the older version for yourself. You cannot give the older version away. That is why most companies don't charge as much for upgrades. Read the EULA that most people click through - a fuller answer is probably in there.
