What to buy??

I'm the happy owner of WD7 Premium. I would like a program to handle graphic and photo. Wonder if Photo & Graphic Designer 6 is the prg for me or if I should go for Xara Designer Pro. ?

BTW: is there an update from WD7 Premium to Xara Designer Pro?

What I meant was: is it possible to update Web Designer 7 Premium to Xara Designer Pro thereby get it a little cheaper?

I guess that Designer Pro = Web Designer 7 Premium + Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 6 + some more sofisticated graphic features?
Is it worth the money?
And what is the price for an update from WD7 Premium to Designer Pro?

There's no price yet, because, as I say, DP7 is not yet released.

I have been using Designer 6 Pro since it came out and - mistakenly - purchased the WD7 thinking it was the replacement for Designer 6. Seems more than a few people did the same with the names of programs so close now.

Designer 6 Pro has the photo, graphics and web goodies in it - a complete package - and so far, I have found very little in WD7 that is not in Designer 6. I did try to use WD7 but found the lack of all the photo and graphics tools I have become use to be a real pain - had to keep going back to either XX5 or D6 to do what I wanted to do.

So I consider my money spent for WD7 to be a waste at this point in time. - jb

DP6 is about $200, WD7 is $50. How could you mistake it if not anything else? It's also shouldn't be confusing at all because Web Designer line and Designer Pro are placed in different locations on Xara site. But the most important thing - did you get a usual discount for "upgrading" from DP6 to WD7? If not, how could you assume it is a replacement?
