    I was going to post an example related to Access' "Text with holes tut" when I noticed that you cannot change the color depth of bitmaps in Xara X1 anymore http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif ! So what are you supposed to do if you want to change a color/grayscale bitmap to black&white with 50% threshold raster pattern (it was possible in the previous Xara version)???

    You need to create a bitmap copy and then the options are there.

    I agree with you Paul, I liked it better the old way, but Charles convinced me this saves code and keeps the program size smaller. Even so, I miss the dithering options. As you can see the 2 color option does not do the trick.

    Gary,
    output should improve if you unselect the transparency button.
