Default FYI: Validating your website for proper HTML.

Just ran my website (made from XWDP7) through validation (http://validator.w3.org/) and it passed XHTML 1.0 Transitional perfectly with flying colors! Great job, Xara!

Funny, my company's website failed this validation. Haha! They should've used XWDP7 . Even "www.google.com" had 36 errors and 2 warnings when I tried to validate it. Very interesting, indeed.

As someone not too familiar in html, my belief is that if the website works and appears in google etc then it is fine. The validator is a bit overdone and customers who demand that their website should pass transitional this or wrc that should understand that it is simply not important. As you said google has 36 errors and 2 warnings, HP who are thanked by validator.org for supplying the servers has 96 errors and 14 warnings!. This irks me like people who want counters displayed on their sites, why the heck for? to show you have had 12 visitors in the last 2 years?
