Selecting Fill and Line colors

In older Xara 5, I could select colors by left-clicking and right-clicking. Can I do this in WD7? Doesn't seem to be a setting to allow it. Is there a workaround to restore the old functionality?

No, Jon, this is the new "user-friendly" approach. Like you, I find it a waste of time to have to constantly select line or fill.

I am not sure if Bill Taylor's XaReg will work with WD 7 but it is worth a try. You can find XaReg in the Xara Xone Shareware page. It is a free utility and can do many really helpful things including making left and right click set the fill and outline color.

The rationale for the pop up menu was to make it easier for new users to use the program. And while that is a very good reason, I prefer to have the choice.

Thanks Gary -- XaReg worked perfectly on WD7 -- I unchecked Popup Color Box and now all is well!
