Installing WD7 Premium - removing WD6

I post this query here as I can't see a forum for software queries.

Delighted with WD6 as I have been, I have just taken advantage of the upgrade offer to WD7 Premium. As I could not find any instructions whether to install "over the top of" WD6, I installed the new version in its own folder. So I now have both versions as seperate programs. Disk space is not a concern but I wonder if I can safely uninstall WD6 without criippling some WD7P system files in the process? I have full Acronis backups of my partitions as well as a one of the optimistically named MS Windows Restore Points which rarely seem to do me any good

You can uninstall WD6 if you want without impacting WD7P.

I often keep older versions but occasionaly will uninstall one or another to observe specifics when answering a question about installing/uninstalling a version.

Yep. Xara does not install over. It installs what is essentially a new program. So you can run several side by site.

But if you wish, you can uninstall WD6 and it should not (famous last words) impact WD7.
