Please help me, people!(if it's possible of course)
for example: I need to export separately some images from one big file to web.xar. format. And I can't get a personal preview for each file, just with all objects per each thumbnail! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
    I've tried with CorelXara2, XaraX and XaraX№ – the same results http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

    Hello Xander,

I thought .web was another file type of xara's but was smaller for use over the net. To get each item in a separte preview file, you will have to have them in a separte file.

    Thank you, John,
Of course, I can copy and paste my objects into empty files and export them after. And I do it, but I think... that's not very usable http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

    Hi Xander11,

Yes, I see what you are trying to do and I am able to reproduce your problem. I have added this to the bug list.

It would be very good, Alex! I found this bug many years ago but has recollected it just now...

    Thank you,
    Xander

    Xander11,

Yes, I have reproduced this problem in both Xara X v1.0d (Xold as some call it now), and X¹.

If you have the items on separate layers you can hide the other layers while exporting - I think then you get the proper preview.

    Xander,

I do this on occasion also... It's a small nuisance, but still a nuisance. You can also select the one you want - delete the other ones - and export. Hit 'Undo' - rinse and repeat. I know it's obvious, but it could be quicker than creating separate layers.

    2AlexL:
Very frequently I need to export separate objects into AI or CMX. Whether probably to develop such option?(Export selected only)

Vector export (AI, EPS, CMX, WMF) have worked that way at least as far back as Xara 2 (aka CorelXara), which is where I came in.

In addition, WMF includes objects on locked, invisible layers in the export.
