a weird problem

I did a bit more testing with my laptop, it appears that if the rulers are turned on it happens but the spellchecker didn't have to be showing a red line. And like before copying, dragging into a new document and making a bitmap copy all trigger it.

So far, I've been able to replicate the behavior only with Phil's conditions (spellcheck on, misspelled word, scale line widths on). I thought I had it with the rulers once, but I couldn't be sure.

i tried it too and it works fine for me...
try rebooting or reinstall it again.

I was having the same problem for months....couldn't figure out what was going on. Turned of spell check and seemed to solve problem. When doing this I discovered that that I could select US English instead of UK English. Now I don't have to deal with color vs colour!!!!!
