Default Changing background colors of graphics

I have a couple of graphics that were created (not by me) on a white background. When I import the graphics into my project, I have a white square (with graphic of course) on a colored background. Obviously, that won't work. Is there a way to have the graphic's background blend in with my background on my page without disrupting the colors of the graphic itself? I know I can make it sort of transparent, but that isn't the effect I am looking for. Is there a relatively simple way to accomplish this?

I appreciate any input or advice. I will keep hunting around the help menu's and the forums; haven't found an answer as of yet.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Sure...I think! Let's see...okay, the typical copy and paste did not work. Let me see if I can figure out how to attach it!

That is so funny, it was the only one I didn't try! Okay, we are getting closer. My image does not have a URL, what would be the next step? (boy do I feel extremely stupid here!)

you should get something like the attached

click on add files, and then select files, to upload them from your computer - you need to have them in one of the standard image formats [jpg, gif, png...]

I tried that and it wants me to input a URL. I am stuck! What am I doing wrong? I am so much smarter than this darn thing it is making me completely insane! I went to GO ADVANCED, clicked on the IMAGE icon and it says, input URL. It is on my hard drive, in a file of it's own, I don't know how to make that a URL.

Can I tell you how utterly stupid I feel? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/whathe.gif I was just looking at the menu ABOVE the text box, I didn't scroll lower on the page. So Sorry handdrwn!!

    Hope it worked this time!
