    Default Mirroring Objects or Text

I am having trouble understanding how to mirror something in Illy CS2. I often work in the CorelDRAW world, but recently bought a computer w/Illy already installed software on it. Any link to a tutorial specifically for CS2 will do. Also, if I learn CS2, how far behind the curve will it make me for the current version? I want to try Illy to see if I want to spend the money it takes to do the upgrades. chuck

    Hi

you should learn the program fine with CS2

there have since been improvements to transparency handling in PDF, gradients now handle transparency, brushes are enhanced , plus some other new changes - but not much to 'un-learn'

The HD came loaded with apps, but no discs or anything, so I will just learn the software and then decide after I find what kind of difference is there between the Adobe apps and Corel/Xara apps that I own and use often. Thanks for all the replies.

My thoughts were more towards the legality of the installed software. If you purchased the computer "used" and the software was left on the machine, that is in violation of the Adobe license. Same with the Microsoft license for the OS itself.

For the original owner to transfer the license all discs and documentation must be included as part of the "package".

Some software companies require locating a specific word on a specific page of the manual for any upgrade availability.

So require the original installation disc so it can be read for information not included on the hard drive.

Soquili, thanks for the information. I will just wipe the drive and install my own software that I used on an E-mac that I no longer use. I will have to look for Adobe software that will work on the machine, since I ordered some books for Illy and Photoshop. This question has been in the back of my mind and it will clear the conscience. chuckray

PS where is a good legit place to purchase older Adobe software that is legit? I am using a Power Mac G4 @ 400mhz. If not I can at least use it to play movies on it unlike the e-Mac that couldn't do this.
