How to do wave background?

I like to do some wave background as sample. This is just sample how it should be seen.

Is possibility to do this?

This looks like two semi-transparent wave shapes over a background.

Create a rectangle then create the two wave shapes. Apply transparency.

I have attached a file for you to look at to see how this can be done. My example does not match the bitmap but it will give you an idea of how to go about recreating that effect.
