create a line tween

I would like to know if it is possible to create a line tween that would show up like a heart beat monitor. I am unsure how to perform this task. I am using designer pro 6. thank you.

For the tween itself I’m sure some here can advise you.

If I were creating the animation in Xara I would probably try and use an effect like this:

The green ‘line’ is kind of blobby and fuzzy, and fades behind as it moves. It’s a ghostly, phosphorescent, moving shape.

This next one is more like a standard line, but still has a glowing blob leading the way, plus line glow and fading.

You can easily simulate all this in Xara, with its fills, transparencies and blends.

Maybe you can use these when figuring it out.
