Hello everybody !
Shake your hands !
This is my trial to add some color to my sketches.
I scanned the pen draw and then import in Xara and tried to simulate watercolor painting.
What do you think about it. Maybe it`s better to do it in Photoshop? Nothing except my cketch was converted into bitmap so I could to edit every line and every shape using points and color using all features of Xara. So editing was very easy.

Forget photoshop this is excellent. Very effective colorization Valery. I've tried in the past to promote this kind of technique to my fellow xarans. It seems most xarans don't use pen and ink enough to have material suited to this method. I find the technique very satisfying - bringing new life to what are for me old sketches. Here's an example of my work I posted previously. (I repost it now because it is one of my favorite threads - I loved 'talking' to Quentin about ponds/landscape design ).

Once upon a time I also used Photoshop to put some colour on my inked images. All that masking was a pain in the behind! OK, it could be quite fun also, and more like real painting than it is Xara, but as always I was usually working past a deadline.
Almost all commercial coloured illustrations I do today go through Xara (usually do some finishing in Photoshop though).
