I have a few tables that I would like to import by some means into my site. I have tried drag and drop, copy and paste and saving in Word or HTML pages but with no success. Is it possible?

Welcome to TalkGraphics Nick
There have been a few posts on this same topic. Try doing a search for Tables.
You might want to create a bitmap image of your table in the application in which it was created, which would be one way add the table.
Another way to do this is to recreate the table in Xara. You cannot create a table directly but here is a tutorial that shows how it can be done.

Copy & Paste directly from Word and then paste as enhanced metafile that works but it is large to hold down Shift & drag to make smaller.
Design is thinking made visual.
I use a placeholder the size of the table I have designed in Dreamweaver, with the html in the placeholder eg http://www.wotarate.com.au/extra_extra_home_loan.htm. When I need to edit the table, I just need to open the placeholder and edit the code.
Jim
thanks. I had worked this out in the end.
