You can use popup layers.
See this sample:popup layers.xar
I think there is a tweak to stop the layer from closing when you click on the page.
Another option is to use iframes.

Hello dylon
The example file above does not contain the SWF file so you won't be able to see the Flash animation. But look in the Page and Layer Gallery to see how James has put the individual images on different pop up layers.

Have a look at this Workbook Tutorial. It will show you how to create and use an iframe.

Here is a tutorial on the popup layers
For the iframe option here is an example: ifames.xar
It is a bit more complicated than the popup layer option. As far as I know there is no way of tageting an iframe in a link with xara, so you need the nav buttons in a placeholder aswell.
This is how I would do it.
- create each page and place the content making sure the position is 0 on x and y. except for the index page.
- create a page for the buttons and using the tag option enter filename="button_name" for each button, this is so that the buttons are exported with your site.
- on the mouseoff layer make 2 placeholder one for the iframe and one for the buttons. As you can see in the code for the iframe i have name="your_frame" this is important for your buttons to link to the iframe. in the code for the buttons you can see src="index_htm_files/button1.png" this is where the buttons were exported to. you can also see href="iframe1.htm" target="your_frame" this is the page you are linking to and also the iframe that is being targeted.
Hope this is some help, if anyone knows of a tweak to target iframes please let us know.
To link to an iframe - insert the frame name into the web properties dialogue box ...
JOHN -XaReg (FB) XaReg (DB - ignore prompt to register)
Windows 10 [Anniversary] pro Intel Pentium CPU G630 @ 2.70Ghz RAM: 4 GB; 64-bit x64
I have tried that before it doesn't work. After I click apply it reverts to the default.
I will give it another go when I get back to my computer, perhaps I done something wrong
