.xls files are not valid on UNIX servers 'as is' though it may be possible to import an .xls into MySQL tables then set-up some .php scripting functions for your page search. Either way, you're going to need a programmer - it's not something you can just do in Xara.

So you are thinking of a form for a user to input a query which google uses to search your excel spreadsheet and somehow print the result to a coffee cup widget?

I think you better get the help of a programmer.
