Default Full image in Popup, Howto

    Greetings,

Newcomer here, have no plans to go anywhere else
    ...
    end of intro.

I have a problem. I don't seem to get an image display in full size when its been clicked on as pop-up.

Please find in the attached files an illustration of what i will like to achieve, and i forehand thank you for your input.

The original picture is in .JPEG format has the following attributes:
    Size : 274 kb, Dimensions 715 x 1074

Name:	Pop_up001.jpg
Views:	133
Size:	72.7 KB
ID:	76929Click image for larger version.

Name:	How-To.jpg
Views:	140
Size:	53.6 KB
ID:	76928

    Pop_up001 is how it shows.

    Thank you

Set your image popup size in the popup settings window to 715 pix as shown.

Name:	popup-size.jpg
Views:	134
Size:	23.8 KB
ID:	76932

But remember that the highslide js will aut-resize the image to fit the browser window if the window is smaller than the image at the set size.
    This is normal behaviour.
Alternatively you can create you own popup using a popup layer.

    Hi Sledger,

    Thank you for the help.
It indeed auto re-sizes itself despite the Pop-up Width value alteration.
Still fiddling around, i believe i will soon touch something and resolve everything
    Will keep you posted.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

The cropping on the thumbnail is how the pop up will look. So, bring the image into Xara, resize it to thumbnail size and then set your pop-up size.

If you add a drop shadow or bevel to the thumbnail, the pop-up will also have a drop shadow or bevel.

    Greetings Gwpriester,

Very true, its exactly what i did without knowing how i did it. Now you clearly pinpoint the procedure.
It works. Is there a way to automate the task ? i fear my fast clicking aptitude will not put up against the duty (100's of photos).

If there are layers to deal with, let me confess that those are nightmares to me; but, im ready to cure myself once for all.

    Thanks

You can drag 'n'drop all images onto a blank page, select all and centre the lot. While still selected, size them all to thumbnail (say 200pix) and give them all a drop shadow (if you must). Next go to the link properties and set the popup photo properties as you like.
Once done and applied, you can then deselect the stack and move them into position.
All photos will have the same settings.
Of course, captions can only be done per photo.
