    Default Convert shape to line?

    How do you convert a shape back to just editable lines? sounds easy but having no joy. thanks

    there is no menu option for this
    in practice:

    make sure your shape is selected
    go to shape editor tool and select a point and right-click for menu
    then click on break at points

    Sorry, I don't believe there's a one-step way to do that. However, it's pretty easy to lock the shape, then draw over it to recreate the lines the way you want them.

    Sorry, I was adding some info when I got drawn away. Glad handrawn had the answer you needed.

    For future reference:

    The method you need to use will depend on how XDP sees the shape. When you select the shape and access the Shape Editor:

    - if you see a series of nodes down the center of the outline (so it still looks like a line), then Break At Points will work beautifully.

    - if you see nodes on both sides of the outline, then redrawing is the way to go.
