.SFW with f4v file previews just fine, will not play on the web?

Hello,

I have a pop-up video layer that triggers an SWF file for video playback. The video file is an f4v file.

When I preview in Xara 6 everything acts as it should. After I publish to my website everything looks like it should yet when I press the play button for the pop-up layer just the SWF player controls appear but no video.

Is there an issue with f4v files?

Xara does nothing to your video/flash files - it just embeds the code.
The /mvpexamples_htm_files/sanoevalente.swf is only 129Kb - so this is the player, have you uploaded the actual video file?

Thanks for checking. Yes the video file is on the server. I encoded a different file in .mp4 format and it is working now. I don't know why but I am happy.

I guess Adobe's .f4v file is making something out of sorts.
