Mouse over popup layers with links help

I want to know if I can have a link with a seperate mouse over popup. I know I can put a link to the popup layer itself, but I have a text link and I want a mouse over to show preview but still allow the viewer to click the link they originally put the mouse on.
I have the link properties filled in under Link, but in the mouseover page, i also have on mouseover, use popup layer, but the layer isnt showing.

look under sample pages... i want a small thumbnail of the page to come up before they click the link

Hi,
You accomplish that by putting the separate pop-up layer name in the MOuse over tab and keeping the link to the same.
The mouse-over only displays while the mouse if over the trigger object.

ok, this is weird, it works when i apply the same setting to a graphic, but when i apply them to a Text link, it doesnt????? a link is a link!

The link needs to be set in the "Link to page" field (recommended). Alternatively the link text can be grouped with itself to turn it into a graphic (you might need to reset the mouseover after doing this).

id say the next release should address that problem... no reason you shouldnt be able to just select a text area without having to group them.

Nothing to fix - it works fine just as you wish. No need to group text.
[1] Swipe select text - link to URL via Web Properties>>Link to Web Address, press APPLY
[2] Create layer for popup graphic and name it.
[3] Swipe select text go to Web Properties>>Mouse-over [tab]>>Show popup layer and select your named layer, press APPLY

..done
