    Smile News function and archive?

    Hi everyone!

Is there any body who knows where i can get a free non ad news and archive function to integrate with WD6 or is it already a function in WD6 that i haven´t seen yet?

I´m creating a site for my athletics club and on the starpage i want a newsfunction where i can present our own news for all the viewers, in other words i don´t need a widget or something like that who present news from a newspaper or newschannel.

The function should be so that i can write my own news in a "block" somewhere on the page, older news should be archived and the viewer can choose to go to the archive to read those.

I have been looking at creating a blog but that´s not really what i want either.

It would also be a nice effort if it automatically generates time and date when i´m writing the news.

I have seen this function on many sites but i don´t know how to fix it, my skills aren´t so large.

See on the attached link, down in the left corner with the header: "senaste nytt"
There is presented a few headlines and in the bottom the viewer can click on "Arkiv" to see older news.

The page are in swedish but i hope that you know what i mean

Would be more than glad if anyone have a solution.

    Best regards // Kalle

What you need is is content management system, which is not really something that integrates into a Xara-built website. Try looking here. They're all free, but you'll need a little experience and in all probability you'll need a mysql database.

Check out "Cutenews" ( http://cutephp.com/ ) If you can stand a small banner, it's free and doesn't need mySQL. Should go in OK via a placeholder.

If you could afford it, check out Stivasoft Blog ($30) and get their Simple CMS for free. Both are a breeze to integrate on Web Designer but you will need mySQL.

There's some more scripts here: http://www.hotscripts.com/category/p...ws-publishing/

Thank you both beretgascon and wOOdy for your answers.

I found exactly what i was looking for on the last link you gave me, wOOdy.
www.newsscriptphp.com has exactly the functions i want.

When reading in their text/helpfiles i understand that you should be able to place this inside an iFrame?? So if a place an iFrame inside a placeholder it shouldn´t be a problem as i can see it. Am i right?

I have also sent a mail to my webserver provider and asked if it´s ok to install the necessary files on the server.

    Best regards // Kalle
