I've been using Xara since mid-90's. Lately I had to install Corel Draw 12 for print reasons. The brush in Xara is so easy to use that I thought Corel would surely have something similar. Stunned to find out it doesn't. Their equivalent, spray, is so finnicky and cumbersome that it becomes useless.

    I'm so spoiled.

    I hear you.

The biggest problem with CorelDRAW, and I have said this year after year, is they keep trying to improve on how it works. So instead of letting people learn how to use the tools and features, they change them each year to "make them better" but they never do.

But version 12 does have a pretty good PDF and PDF/X export which we can only hope...

I will simply keep both programs and use the best of each. It is an ambidextrous solution. Not what I prefer.

I never used corel too much, since I got Illustrator/PS I touch it even less. Haven't seen a reason to upgrade past 10.
