Thread: HTML files

    Default HTML files

    Hello,

I thought (correct me if I am wrong please) that each page had its own associated HTM_Files directory, index_html_files for example.

I have created 4 pages so far but only have 2 html_files folders? Is this because I copied all the graphics from one page and pasted to another? The page names are different though and the pasted graphics have been changed from one page to another. I would prefer them to be in their own files for ease of use.

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

Xara only creates one HTM_Files directory per website. All of your associated graphics etc should be in the index_html_files folder.

Hello and thanks for the reply - my apologies for keeping you so busy today!:-)

I don't understand why I have 2 then? Any suggestions?

one is probably htm_files and the other html_files

If you do not specify an extension, Xara uses HTM.

In any case, delete all the folders and start over. And I recommend using the HTML extension. It takes precedence over HTM.
