    Default popup colour

It's probably a no but was just wondering if the colour of the background on a popup image (not a popuplayer) can be changed from white?

    Thanks

    Not really is the answer.

However you can add a rectangle around (behind) your photo that can be grouped with you photo and be any color you wish. You will still get a white boarder around your colored rectangle, but it might be an improvement over what you have now.

    I hope that helps.

    Yes really is the answer.

Whilst working on your website, go into your "index_htm_files" directory and re-colour custom.png. This will change the colour of your popup background and border. Every time you click "Export and Preview webpage/site" this file and certain others are overwritten so, once you have settled on your chosen colours, right-click on the images you have edited in Windows Explorer and change their properties to "Read only". Now Xara can't overwrite these images and your colours are locked:

You can additionally edit controlbar-text-buttons.png to add more variety to your popups. There's quite a lot you can do when you look under the hood, so experiment!

    Gary and Beret,

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a try but, I was wanting a black pop-up background to match in with the rest of the site but I presume this
will cause a problem with the descriptive text on the popup image?

    Thanks

Nope - all you have to do is edit the CSS style sheet and lock it the same way you did with the images you edit
