So I love Xara Web Designer but for all it's awesome features, but I'm having trouble with the most simple thing. All I want to do is change the color of a line of text within a text box and I can't for the life of me figure it out! Please help!

As long as the text isn't grouped with anything, you should be able to just select it with the selector tool and then pick a color in the color bar at the bottom.
If it is grouped (or you just want to change the color of part of the text), use the text tool to select the text that you want to change and then pick a color in the color bar at the bottom of the screen.

I'm never wrong. I thought I was wrong once but it turns out that I was mistaken.

You can color the entire block of text by selecting the text with the Selector Tool and clicking on any color on the screen palette. With the text selected, you can edit the color in the Color Editor (Ctrl e).
You can also apply a bitmap photo to your text. Select the text with the Selector Tool, open the Bitmap Gallery (F11), select the bitmap you want to use as a fill, and press Fill.
