Convert Rectangle to editable shape but no curve handles

Hi

Am using Xara photo & graphic designer 6.

I created a rectangle and then converted it to Editable Shape.

Using the Shape editor tool I added some points and made sure they were smooth joined.

However I can't get the point handles to show so I can adjust curves, etc.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if this applies to 6 or not since I am using Xtreme Pro 4, but you must first actually grab the line and make a curve, then the node will show the handles.

Hi Rowby, select the Shape Editor tool and select one of the points on your shape. You'll then see the curve handles appear.

no they do not always appear automatically when converting quick shape to editable shape

with shape selected, in shape editor tool, make sure that one of the nodes is selected [click on it] - then place your cusor on the line between nodes so the arrow appears and then drag the line slightly and let go of mouse button - the handles should appear

[BTW: this line drag feature is one of the shape editor tools strengths]
