    Default html vs htm

Since htm is legacy from the old windows dos days I'd like to continue using the html extension, but I can't seem to see where I can make it a default in options. I can't find my glasses on a regular basis too, but that's another story.

Is it only when saving for the first time and actually spell it out or...?

    Cheers

Name the page 'index.html' - it will export as such

Does it actually make any difference, all the sites I've done so far work perfectly fine with the .htm extension.

I believe that it's a similar issue as with *.jpg and *.jpeg

True skech and Sledger it's just a name. I've used html since the early days and for linking and such it works for me in all the sites I work on and want to avoid accidental page.html page.htm duplicates.

Just a personal preference as in using XDP6 for almost everything now

    Cheers

It used to be that some operating systems only allowed three digit file extensions (cough, Microsoft DOS), so htm was used to pander to the limitation. It's not really an issue anymore.
