Poor quality of exported gif's

Well here is my problem:
I made this simple star & exported it as a transparent gif, but when I use this gif on my web page the edges of the star are not as sharp as they were in corelxara. I am using anti-alaised so I don't know why this image looks so poor.
Can anyone help?

Welcome tothe forums.
Your problem is almost certainly due to not matching the Xara background to that of your webpage. If your background is blue and you export your transparent gif from xara with a white background you will have a white 'jaggy' edge.
The answer is to match the Xara background to your webpage background.
