    Default upload problem

Just made a new web, but it will not let me put in ftp:// soon as I get to the last forward slash, it disappears on me. Very strange behaviour. What could be the problem?
This is with XWD6 run on Windows 7

You don't need to enter the protocol suffix Rolf, just the domain name.

Thanks Sledger. One more problem. Before uploading I need to make a small correction. When I press save, it wants to replace the complete website. Does it not save without replacing the lot?

Depends on the knock-on effect of the change you made.

Could you please explain this to a mere mortal please? Just changed a mistake in a word of the design field.

When the option to 'republish changed files only' is enabled, there should only be a very minor changes to exported files if the export is writing to the same local folder as the previous export. If you delete the previously exported files folder then make changes to your design and then re publish, ALL files are re exported rather than just the changed ones.

However, sometimes a change such as removing or adding a major object which results in a shuffling of the numeric order, so a single image change may result in a number of files being re exported.

I ticked that option just now. Is there a confirmation that it has effected the changes? And is it normal that a pop up still occurs asking if you want to replace that which already exist?

When I press the save icon, is this enough and can I then click away the replace window?

No, when you Save, you are saving the XAR file. In order to FTP your files you have to hit Publish
