Thanks, everyone! Here you are, Gary. The stitching effect is just transparencies. The hardest part was sticking to the colour palatte that I wanted - I made that first, the intention being that all the colours would be from vegetable dyes. It's not quite right but fun to do.........Penny

    Beautiful Tapestry Penny.

First I have a complaint: The picture you attached is not big enough and does not show the whole beauty.

Second: Any chance of telling us how you went about making it?!

    Cheers.
    Rik.

That looks great Penny, I enjoy looking at the old tapestry's at the museums. I like the harmony and colors you used. Well done, I could see it hanging on a wall in an old castle.

Penny, that's one fantastic tapestry. Thanks for posting the slightly larger view. Is there any chance I can get you to post a close up view of a small section of your tapestry so we can carbon date the fabric? Sorry, I mean so we can better see the detail and evaluate your skill as a weaver of fine tapestries.

    Mighty fine,
    Harry

Thanks for kind comments. Rik, I hope the attached explains. It's just a matter of drawing the separate elements and arranging them on the background, then adding the 'stitches'.
Harry, I loathe needlework in any form (blood and tears as a child) so creating a virtual tapestry is bliss!!

    Thanks for the explanation Penny.

I had a feeling that it was some sort of an overlay, but not exactly what it was.
I will have a go to see if I can do what you say.

If not, then I hope you are ready for questions!
