Photo color loss when importing - X5 Pro

I'm getting a color loss when importing photos to Xara 5 Pro..

When I open the photo in either a browser or Fireworks "adobe" and then copy the image and paste to Xara, The color loss doesn't happen.

I basically do all my vector work in Xara and have for some years now.. I have never really used it for photo editing..

Looks like the document has 'simulate print colors' enabled?

What colour space are the originals save in?
