Default Anti-alaising issues with Designer Pro 6

Is it just me or are others having the same problem with fonts getting mangled in Designer Pro 6.

I have been using Xara since the Corel Xara days and have always been impressed with the vector speed and the way it nicely anti aliased fonts and objects.

But the latest version does not seem to handle fonts well. I took a regular Arial font, added bold and italics and it looks horrible. I have had similar problems with other fonts.

I own Xara Xtreme Pro 5 and it handles the same font set up perfectly.

Maybe I am doing something wrong with Designer Pro 6? Is there a way to turn on anti-aliasing that I haven't done?

I had planned to upgrade, but due to this problem, I am going to stick with Xara 5 and wait to see if it is fixed in Xara 7.

Please try setting to 'Very High Quality' as shown.

    I see you have double-posted.
Note that new threads posted in the Technical Support forum require approval before showing up.
This is explained in the forum sticky post.

The thread was also moved out of TS and into the general Xara Xtreme.. forum as it is a question about 'program usage'.

As you have had you questioned answered in your second post, I'm closing this trhead.
