    Thanks Ladybug, Pixelpusher and Nostaw.
Nostaw, Interesting glass effect you come out with, I gave your xar file a look and see you used bitmap fill, in my drawing i don´t use any Bitmap fill or blend bitmaps together!!!.
Bill and Paul, great drawing effects you did.
Tahnks all for sharing your xar files.

Here is my xar file, you will see there are no used of Texture or Blend texture together.
    Best Regards

Here is a chrome sphere that I created using the contour tool and bitmap. The buttons are created with shapes and a chrome highlights are done with the contour tool. I like this particular chrome effect. It's easy to edit and in my opinion it looks good.

Great job BP! I always enjoy your work. You are becoming a trendsetter on this forum. I am enjoying this particular thread. It makes it fun when other people share their work. Great job everybody.

Here is another attempt - but it looks more like glas instad of chrome.
One major thing that is missing in my example is the fisheye distortion of image to give the right effect.
I downloaded your file and tried to open it in XXP4.
i got a message that this file was created in a newer version than mine etc.

The drawing itself looks VERY much different then. I try to include a sample image ...

Now ... I was wondering what *exactly* these "newer" functions were that would not allow me to open it as intended?

I was not aware of anything THAT new ??

    Thanks!

Enhance Transparency / Opacity Masks for a starter. These won't show in X4

Thumbs up Re: Some chrome balls with different drawing techniques

Rather than try and remember every name, may I say a very big thank you to all the contributors in this thread.

Thanks for the video tutorial and all the .xar files that have been attached.

I think it's brilliant to share ideas and it's even better when a file can be taken apart to see how someone went about creating the effect.

A VERY BIG THANKS TO ALL.
