    Thanks angelize! Having used brushes quite extensively, I'm pretty much aware it works on single color strokes. But it doesn't work on multicolored brushes. See the document attached and try to change one of the used colors, it doesn't change any color in the brush.

    You're right - I made an assumption based on zero evidence. I tried it this evening and try as I might I couldn't break the shadow without also breaking the vector shape it was attached to. Thanks for pointing out my mistake.
