Where to install the trial version 6

Hello,

I am about to install the 30 days trial version Designer Pro 6.

I have of course Xara Pro 5 installed AND Web designer 6
... and last but not least I am about to purchase the upgrade licence.

Well, what you suggest:

1) Install The trial in a different folder, keeping both Pro 5 and Designer Pro 6 until the Designer Pro 6 CD is shipped, and then remove Xara 5 and reinstall everything from the new CD (libraries, cliparts, fonts)?

or

2) Remove Pro 5 and install the Designer Pro 6 in final folders.
With this solution (2) I understood that I would loose fonts, cliparts, and other things that are not in the DL executable, and that will be shipped only with the CD.

I am oriented for the solution 1.

You can have multiple versions on Xara installed at the same time. If you use the fonts and the clipart, why would you want to be without them before the CD comes?

Below is what my folders look like for several Xara Programs

I agree, just install it to the default folders and use it as normal without uninstalling anything. The default folder is different for every version. Windows treats them all as separate programs.

You can even add clipart from disc to the galleries, and navigate to the XX5 clipart folder and add them that way.
