I guess some of you might be interested in my discovery: As you know, it's quite a problem using Middle-Eastern text in Xara... The mirrored X_Fonts do not work.... So I far I would do the graphics/layeouts in Xarax and export a PDF into Indesign (very complicated, bad quality....).
Now I can create a multipage catalogs right inside Xara! (I use double spread page layeout and use Layers as different pages. Then I just collect the pages in PDF)

I've found out that reversing your OWN font DOES work!!! So all you have to do is just mirror the font and align it to it's position.

I am not sure why this is so, but it works, thus, saving me ALOT of time.....

I'm just waiting for a MultiPage option in Xara and all my problems will be solved http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Any plugin maybe? Like in Illustrator?

And here is my catalog cover, Front and Back.
All photos are mine. I've added some effects in photoshop and used simple brushes in Xara to create the layout effect.
The guy's photo is grainy, so I will have to make another one. Just didnt want to wait so I took it just to see how it will look like.

Cool... Glad you figured out how to do it. Now you need to do a tut on it for all the other non-european text guys.

Your covers look pretty cool also...

I used fontographer to mirror the letters, so a minitut won't help. But as I know how frustrating it is not to be able to type your text, I am willing to help anyone who has this problem.

Anyone with a need of a Font conversion (Middle Eastern) can send me the font and I will mirror the letters (it's a matter of seconds) if he does not have fontographer....

Nice stuff Availor, it stays true to your buiseness card theme. (I hope they are tied together...) http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

I don't really understand your ME font issue. Hopefully I'll won't have to deal with this anytime soon. If I do I'll look for this thread.

    Thanks for posting the info.
