Xara Designer Pro 6 and Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 6

Hi all.

We have just launched Xara Designer Pro 6 and Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 6.

Xara Xtreme has had a major makeover as well as a name change.
Xara Xtreme becomes Xara Photo & Graphic Designer.
Xara Xtreme Pro becomes Xara Designer Pro.

In addition to a new look, both versions contain a variety of enhancements and new features. Additional information is available from the website as well as the support site

A lot of hard work and creativity has gone into this release and it merits the new name, the new logo, and the new interface.

Kudos to the entire design and programming team.

I am still working my way through the printed off release notes

I have also checked through Gary's introduction

the only thing I have looked at closely are the new drawing functions - these I like

initial impressions very positive

i would love to be able to u/g to 6.0. My problem is that the Xara website keeps refusing to let me log-in. I have checked my details many times, I have asked Xara for a password hint and they have confirmed that the login details that I am using are correct. I have tried using FOUR different browsers but still get the same problem.
The stupid part is that if I go to www.xara.com/uk/ I can log in OK using the login box at the top right of the page. This gives me access to all my registered products BUT when I try to log in to buy anything the same log in parameters get rejected. I have had this problem for over a year now and I cannot get any sense out of Xara Sales Support other that to say that they cannot see why I am having the problem. Is any outher user having this problem?

Here's a suggestion that might work. Register a new account (create a yahoo.co.uk account if you don't have a second email address) and buy your XDP6. Then contact support (open a ticket) and ask them to combine your data into the new account, deleting the old account for the reasons already given and once that's done and go into the new account and change the email address and password to the one you have been using before.

I did exactly that a few years ago because I had a similar problem to yours. Problem solved. Well, for me anyway.
