Stop causing trouble Egg. That wasn't what I meant and you just read it that way. I think the lack of buzz about this version (compared to what I was expecting--although admittedly it's early days yet) is showing what I said is true. There are some amazing workflow improvements in this version, and a lot of things people have been asking for are addressed. But because there's not an "obvious" tool on the toolbar, then it can appear to most (including myself initially) that there isn't much new. The changes are quite subtle, but very powerful. Anyway, I'm spending quite a bit of time demonstrating the power of this version and it's changes for people, in a bunch of handy videos (hardly what you'd call condescending). Going to run out of time today tho to finish it...

Thanks Gary and Steve. The Castle Icon was a community project. Phil provided geometry and guidance, and optimised the rough images. Allison and Gary B. provided suggestions and a MAGIX icon expert provided a compilable version.

Xara Designer Pro and Photo & Graphic Designer are easily the best buys for the price over any other graphics applications I have used.

If I were limited to only one design application, Xara Designer Pro is my choice.

I've been a moderator on this forum for as long as I can remember Xhris. I've never intentionally or unintetionally caused trouble. I'm just stating that members are quite capable of assessing the new features. If you wish to highlight those in a video explaining the finer points then fine and I'll welcome that. However it's up to the members whether they believe those new features worth while, not you.

good tutorials of course are always welcome and if they demonstrate 'new features which are probably too subtle for most to notice' they should certainly be well worth waiting for... as a life long exponent of not being subtle myself I still like to think I see much of the potential of XDP6 in the release notes, after playing a bit, certainly the features that interest me [not the web].. but I remain ready to be awestruck of course, as ever...

I don`have creditcards anymore (because I consider them thieves)
So you can always email Xara and ask for bankdetails, last two times
I did it by banktransfer (which cost me an extra 18 euro's, but banks
are thieves too, after the last creditcrunch, we have confirmation on that

So you can do it that way, but i might not do it this time, 94 euro +
18 euro bankcharges? A bit steep in these economic conditions.
And I am not sure about the GUI too. And the added features? That
is still to see when experts here start bragging and showing what they do,
because for the first time I have no clue how they might ad to the programs
experience for me?
(I am not so much interested in the website stuff)

So the jury is still out.

We don't disagree. But I'm entitled to my opinion, and it's not for you to misrepresent what I said and embellish your interpretation of it out of context to try and trash me. Anyway, this isn't helping anyone and I've nothing more to add. I'm happy to move on.
