Bonjour,

In the picture below I'm not satisfied with the nose, but I couldn't do better.

I used an elliptical fill. If anyone knows a better way please let me know.

I think all you need to do is reduce the limits of the eliptical fill so it goes from white to the same red as the mask on the outer edge the problem will disappear. Or else you could slice the nose object down the bridge of the nose and give each half an eliptical fill on the inner (bridge) edge.

Very nice mask you've drawn. I hope you don't mind, but I downloaded your image and made a test. If you want something like this

The steps I took are:
1. create 3 sided quick shape
2. convert to editable shape
3. positioned the shape over the nose of the mask and edited it to conform to the side of the nose. See the next image.
4. change fill colour to white
5. apply an elliptical transparency
6. apply a 9 pixel feather

This image has the feather removed and the outline colour made black to show the shape.

As Soquili's tut. above shows there's more than one way of skinning a cat.
Another method for getting a smooth blend of colour on the mask.
(I have drawn above your original jpg so some of your mask indent have disappeared, but you should get the gist of the method)
1: Give the nose shape an eliptical fill but ensure that the extremities of the fill remain within the shape.
2: Clone this shape and slice it down it's axis. Give it a dark red fill colour. Ctrl-Shift-B to send it back one notch
Also give it a slight feather to reduce it's size.
3: Now reselect the original nose shape and apply an eliptical transparency as shown.
4: Shows the completed nose tints.
You may have to adjust the shapes slightly to avoid overlaping your other linear fills, as well as adjusting the eliptical fill axis'.
As I said earlier I'm working above your jpg, not your vector drawing.
