    hey guys, here is a simple version of my soon to be flash charecters wings. Im supposed to draw different views of my charecter and i cant seem to figure out how to draw 3d wings of this shape from the bottom or top. if someone could show me a very simple sketch it would be greatly appreciated. if possible i need this for my homework tonight...lol

    but all I did here is take your wing shape and using the resizing handles around it drag the wing up and down to these angles...hope this helps with the perspective.

    ok pretend this is a three d dragon wing (rounded back) i need to visualize what it would look like from birds eye view and from if you were under it [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

    I think I would make some wings from paper and glue them to a stick. Then look at them in various positions. I have been drawing flat patterns and skewing the shapes into positon. Rich

    Played around with Rich design and came up with this one.

    I took the Red area of the wing shape, squished it then created a .bmp of it (with alpha channel), applied an envelope to it, sized it the way I wanted it, made another .bmp copy of it. Then used the freehand tool to remove the ivisible box around it, then cloned it and filled it black and applied linear transparency and placed it over the red cut out object. Gives it a Under the wing look, kinda. Then I cloned it and flipped it then rotated them till they looked right.

    May not be what you wanted but it's a lesson in making use of as many tools within XaraX to get the results you want and need.
