Which limit with PDF export? Out of memory...

Hi there,

I am going to create a book with 80 pages into Xara X 4. This my work must be then exportated into PDF to printing.

I am trying to do it, but I get an error: "Out of memory. Try simplifying the document or reducing the resolution".

So, it is a memory problem (no enough memory)? Or we have a problem with export in PDF?

I am using several big pictures (300 dpi) because I know that to print it is better...or not?

Spyro,

This is definitely Xtreme 4 problem... Has the same error (or 0004) quite often with even 1-page simple pages. I'm sure it's bugged DLL for PDF export.

I have used for exporting v.3.2... Copy/paste your pages and export... Page by page (or spread by spread)

Or, set up a Scitex printer (as a virtual device) with a .ppd and 'print' to it and then distill it with a Adobe Distillator...

You must print to send pages to PDF ReDirect...or not? Where do you "paste"?

Anyway I have a little problem with PDF ReDirect...I am trying to export a PDF with 22,3cm x 22,3cm, but it don't respect my misure...what I wrong?

I mean, I used Xara v.3.2 where I pasted pages from v.4...
And then exported as PDF (from the Xara 3.2)

...I have solved my problem export pages one step to time...anyway, the v.5 it is better that v4 to pdf export?
