Red face embroidery effect on font and graphics

    hi guys
is there a technique available that makes fonts and basic shapes look like they are embroidered. maybe even stitching and relevant concepts. im trying to create a logo for a sewing workshop business.
    regards

This works really well sometimes and not so well other times:

it only works on vectors but when it works right the results are really good

A Fractal Plasma fill with adjusted handles works fairly well.

The appearance of a Megumi stroke in E3. These are used between two paths as effect lines. Maybe adaptable in Xara as a brush.

The art filter is another way to get an embroidery effect. In my example I changed the brush from the default and played around with the settings. There is even a way to create your own custom brush shapes for the art filter I can't find it at the moment but I recall a thread about that.

Great effect, Frances. Xtreme's Art Filter seems to get overlooked - at least it is as far as I'm concerned. Iit seems to do embroidery/tapestry very convincingly.
