Default Copy & Paste Bug(?) - or intentional?

    Xara Xtreme Pro 5.1.1.9166 (CD)

Not sure if this is ment to be that way:

    1) File > New > US Letter
    2) With the rectangle tool, draw a rectangle (around 1cm x 1cm, dimensions are not really important).
    3) Place the rectangle on the center of the page.
    4) With the ellipse tool, draw an ellipse anywhere else on the page.
    5) Place the circle somewhere on the page.
    6) Select the rectangle, click with the mouse into the X position input field and copy its entire row (e.g. 266.8pix).
    7) Select the circle, click with the mouse into the x position input field, mark the entire row and overwrite by pressing CTRL+V (paste).
    8) Select the rectangle, click with the mouse into the Y position input field and copy its entire row (e.g. 168.8pix).
    9) delete the rectangle.
    10) Select the circle, click with the mouse into the Y position input field, mark the entire row and overwrite by pressing CTRL+V (paste).

BUG: Nothing will be pasted on step10.
The paste contains the deleted object (but not the marked text).
If you press CTRL+V on the page the rectangle that has been deleted is pasted.

Works fine for me following your steps (2 attempts).

Update your version and try again?

In step 9 did you Delete the rectangle or Cut it?

If you Delete it, the clipboard contents will not be affected and the paste in step 10 will work. If you Cut it, the rectangle is placed on the clipboard and replaces the text that was copied there in step 8.

If you deleted the rectangle using a hotkey, make sure that hotkey is bound to Delete, not Cut.

    Probably not a bug.

Phil, yes that was the case.
I didn't press DELETE, I pressed BACKSPACE (which is CUT (and pastes it back to the clipboard)).
    Thanks for your clarification.
