Yes indeedy...I'm at the right key. Under Workspace there's the blank key: (default) REG_SZ (value not set).

Here's what you must look for, not the /Workspace further down the tree

Something's SERIOUSLY messed up. Above the Workspace key, I have NONE of those other keys you show, UserInfo is the only other key under Options. And like I said, I've installed/uninstalled/reinstalled, so something's getting borked.

Suggestion:
Disconnect from the web.
Disable your security software.
Disable any registry protection utilities, optimizers etc.
Uninstall WD6.

If using Vista or W7, right-click the WD6 installation setup file and 'Run as Admin...'
Once installed, right-click the program short-cut and 'Run as Admin...'

If it still fails and your WD6 registry tree is still 'borked' as you put it - then have your PC looked at by a service technician.

I have attached a .reg file which will disable the XARADARK skin. You may wish to try this (double click and agree to merge) - but the disclaimer is that doing so is entirely at your own risk (same goes for anyone else reading this thread)

Reinstall WD. The installation was not successful for some reason.
This has nothing to do with a skin.

My question is simple (like me): If I have a picture called CAT.JPG and place it on a page, will it still be called CAT.JPG when I export the HTML? Having the program mess with the names of my files does me no favors, so I need to know this, thanks.

The answer is just as simple: yes, it will still be called CAT.JPG if you place it using image placeholder.

If you use place holders, yes. But if you just place an image on a page as most of us do, no - the image is still given a number name.
